Tepidarium

The tepidarium works wonders for muscle tension. The benches are warmed to 38 degrees and the walls to 45. Aromas such as lemon and mint combat your inner tensions and alleviate rheumatism, sciatica and back problems. The body warms itself up slowly and prepares itself for a steam bath or sauna.

Turkish Steam Bath

The Turkish steam bath revs up the purification of the body with heat, steam and aromas such as eucalyptus and lavender. The inhalation of the steam cures colds and is good for the breathing passages, the nose, the sinuses and the bronchial tubes. The skin on the face becomes soft and the pores are opened.

Finnish Sauna

Off into the hot delights – but don’t forget to shower first. Sit on your towel for 10 to 15 minutes, afterwards go outside to cool off and get some fresh air, shower off and relax for around 20 minutes before repeating the process again. Just the once, or several times?

Herbal Bath

The herbal bath fascinates with its gently radiated heat. Simply sit there and relax for 20 to 30 minutes and let the sweet smelling herbs work on your body, soul and spirit. At 55 degrees Celsius the humidity levels can be increased with a fresh infusion of herbs, and a pleasant natural aroma rises up. If it gets too hot, you can cool yourself off with a Kneipp water hose.

Laconium

The Laconium is a Roman sweating bath that purifies wonderfully. This sauna with heat radiated from the marble walls and bench reaches room temperatures of around 60 degrees with very little humidity. After ten to 15 minutes a healthy sweat begins. Those who find the Finnish sauna simply too hot would be comfortable here.

Fragrance Grotto – The Thermarium

The thermarium was loved by the ancient Romans. They were convinced of its healing effects and appreciated its relatively low temperatures of around 39 degrees in comparison to the very hot sweating baths. In the thermarium an artificial state of fever is created which has a positive effect on the immune system and helps to stabilise it.

Saltwater Grotto

A fine spray of saltwater is scattered in the saltwater grotto. The addition of essential eucalyptus and mint extracts clean and protect the respiratory system. A visit to the saltwater grotto is the same as a visit to the sea and is of great benefit to the lungs. The bronchi and the lungs are able to breathe again.

The Apple aroma steam bath

The Apple aroma steam bath is a beauty secret from the orchard at Vinschgau. With a comfortable radiated heat coming from the benches (around 50 degrees) and with steam with a fruity aroma, the body is able to work up a good sweat. The active ingredients in the apples clean the skin and protect the cells.

The Stone Sauna

Prehistoric rocks which have been heated to a great temperature in an oven are sprayed with water, pine needles and eucalyptus oil. Sizzling as they vaporise, the oils are then mixed with small amounts of minerals from the rocks. Visitors to the sauna then inhale the particles which are dispersed in the air.

Blossom Caldarium

In the blossom caldarium valuable ceramics put their mark on the atmosphere. Those who decide on this activity can choose from lavender, rose, mountain meadow or orange. This fragrant steam bath allows spirit and soul to relax and detoxifies the body. Despite only a mild temperature of 45 degrees the body sweats intensively and afterwards leaves you simply feeling good.

The Chateau Sauna

The Castle sauna involves the same healthy sweating as the Finnish sauna. The difference being, the Castle sauna is located in an inspiring spot in the middle of the Feng shui garden and therefore has an ideal aura which promotes well-being. This small sauna is just five metres by five metres in size.

Brechelbath

The “Brechelbad” is part of the cultural heritage of the entire Alpine region. In earlier times flax was broken in the “Brechel” and steamed repeatedly. Up until 1790 many of the farmers in the Rauristal area near Salzburg used the comfortable, steamy atmosphere as a steam bath. Eventually the real reason and meaning for these \"Brechel\" huts was forgotten. The heated floor in the hut is covered with fir twigs. In the hot-water heater genuine herbs are steamed, the rising herbal vapour percolates to just below the ceiling (the so-called “Tschurtschenkorb”), the infusions of herbal vapour follow automatically at short intervals and steam the backs of the guests. Waves of warmth on the back provide a particularly pleasant sensation. The pine needles on the floor also cause a pleasant stimulation of the foot reflex zones when you tread on them.

Schwarzbrenner sauna

The ambience is shared with that of an old peasant distillery – rustic, cosy with pleasant fruity aromas and spicy Mediterranean fragrances. Marble stone, hogshead kegs and old wood provide a special atmosphere. With a temperature of 50 degrees and an air humidity of 55%, it is a pleasant and low-pollution sauna experience. Belonging to the sauna is a romantic rock crystal naked pool with torch light in the open, which provides the necessary cooling between saunas at all times of the year.
