Vinschger Train
Well on the way! The Vinschgau now provides more movement during holidays: Since 05/05/2005 the new railway has been encouraging people to discover the landscape between Meran/Merano and Mals. Cosy, safe – and very comfortable: Bright and friendly interior (4 m² per guest), wide doors, stepless passenger areas, air conditioning – state-of-the-art technology, utmost comfort. Both cycle paths and rambling tracks can be quickly reached by train admirably. Whether a High, Canal or Panorama route – there is something suitable for every tripper! And the best thing about biking: you need not pedal uphill to have the pleasure of a Vinschger bike-experience. The bike is simply checked out at one of the seven rental depots along the rail line and returned again in the evening (Eventcard – Rental bike + free travel for the whole day). You can also transport your own bicycle in the train.
