Nordic Walking – Introduction to a new feeling of vitality...
It’s always easier to hike in the mountains with the aid of walking sticks. Nordic walking has established itself for some time now as the highlight of our fitness programme. It costs nothing, yet delivers numerous benefits: strength, conditioning, co-ordination… We are ideally situated to offer you a tantalising variety of locations for Nordic walking: You can begin any of the numerous Nordic walking tours from the doorstep of your Dolce Vita hotel!Nordic Walking – a sport which is enjoying a surge of popularity – is easy to learn, can be practised anywhere at any time and costs very little in terms of equipment. The spectrum of possibilities with this sport range from gentle effects on beginners to high intensity training for more experienced practitioners. Nordic Walking acts on nearly all muscle groups and is therefore highly effective. It strengthens muscles, increases stamina and trains dexterity while at the same time burning off lots of calories. And with minimal strain on the joints and spine.
This provides an experience of the open air and nature which serves as relaxation and a stress reducer. Nordic Walking dissolves tension in the neck and shoulder areas and utilises in particular the stomach and back muscles that are so neglected in the sedentary lifestyle. This walking technique relieves up to 30 per cent of the strain on the musculoskeletal system and is therefore ideal for anyone who suffers from knee and back problems. It dissolves muscle tension in the shoulder and neck area and is widely recognised as an optimal outdoor training method for weight reduction.
Nordic walking for beginners and practitioners
- trains 90 % of our muscles
- but at the same time is gentle on the joints
- dissolves muscle tension and pain in the neck
- tautens and strengthens shoulders, chest and arm muscles
- reduces the strain on the knees (which is especially welcome for those of us who are overweight)
- improves aerobic fitness
- is ideally suited as a method of burning off fat
- is more effective than walking without sticks – about 40-50% more effective according to experts (our guests agree)
- improves fitness even at a moderate walking pace – thus an ideal starting point for those less in shape to start on the path to new levels of fitness and vitality...
