009 Tour Val Senales

Quick overview

Distance 51 km
Altitude metres 1.550 m
Altitude metres 1.550 m
Duration 2:30 h

Tour months

May, June, July, August, September, October

Course: Naturno (554 m) - Certosa (1270 m) - Madonna di Senales (1480 m) - Vernago (1690 m) - Maso Corto (2020 m) - Naturno (554 m)

Our tour starts `from` the center of Naturno. From the center we turn towards Val Venosta. After about 2 km we turn left on the state road towards Val Venosta. After a hundred meters we turn right on the Val Senales road. We cross the illuminated tunnels and continue along the road that leads us uphill for approx. 24 km. First to Certosa in Val Senales and then to Madonna di Senales (the main town in the valley). From here the serpentines start right up to the dam at Vernago. After the dam we continue along the road. There is also a possibility to rest for a moment along the banks of the artificial lake before going along the last stretch of climb up to Maso Corto. Upon reaching the valley station of the cable car that takes you to the Val Senales glacier, we reached the highest point of the excursion. From here we go back along the same road to Naturno.

Dear Dolce Vita friends
The past months have been tough. We would have never thought that the summer season could become such a success. But it did – thanks to you! You encouraged us, supported us with your kind words and actions, and reinforced our decision to carry on. We would like to thank you for that with all our hearts.

Now, our five Dolce Vita hotels are taking a break and will presumably reopen on December 26th.

Until then, we wish you health, a great deal of optimism, and beautiful moments with your families. We can do it!

Warm regards from South Tyrol,
the Dolce Vita Hotel families
